Hello! My name is Katrin Barshe. I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for the Graphic Design position. I’ve dedicated 15 years to a design career that has given me a clear understanding of the impact that good design can have.

Since I was young, I was drawn to beauty of simple things and finding creative ways to express my vision. This has led me to pursue my interests in art and design through my Masters degree at Moscow State Pedagogical University.

I always have a moment to spare when my colleagues ask for advice that could potentially improve their results, nor hesitate to ask for help when I need to reach beyond my scope. I tend to project myself as capable of providing an adequate review that does not demean the design or designer in any way. I take pride in my kindness and honesty when I have to be critical about other people`s work. This has always kept me on fairgrounds with my former colleagues.

As chief designer, I was managing the entire range of needs for the design department in The Endocrinology Research Center and all its institutions. Including, but not limited to, development of logos and corporate identity elements, design and book and layouts, catalogs, magazines, advertising in a variety of formats, billboards and head office branding, while handling all of the prepress for various trade shows around the globe.

Using my well-rounded skills I can create a product landing page, edit a promo video, create original content for social platforms, create exciting product or food photography or even refine a brand idea from a concept to full scale deployment. I am fluent in Adobe CC ecosystem (InDesign, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects). I am also proficient in Corel Draw and Tilda, Figma, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). I am currently studying UI/UX and interface design. My background in printing allows me to create technically competent layouts that do not require additional prepress.

My desire to travel and excel in my field has brought me to The United States. Now I am a permanent resident, and legal to work. Currently I work with ISensys.com as a freelancer, layout manuals and design maps and charts. Recommendation letter I send on request. I would love to consider design opportunities remotely or near Melbourne, Florida. I greatly appreciate your time and consideration.

As a side note… Since I am new to The United States, catching different accents over the phone has proved itself to be a little challenging at first, though I’m getting better every day. I would greatly appreciate it if critical parts of our communication happen in written form at first (email) so I can be sure I’ve caught every detail.
